ND: [N° 1320] Quando Wilder deve salire sul treno e non farsi prendere dai federeali si fa truccare da nero da Pryor con del lucido da scarpe. Si vede chiaramente, quando Wilder è di spalle, che Pryor gli passa la mano sulla fronte, ma al cambio di inquadratura è perfettamente pulita. Anche negli stacchi successivi si può vedere che il particolare del trucco appare e scompare.
Incongruenza: [N° 1321] Wilder costruisce, annoiato nel vagone ristorante, una piramide fatta di bottiglie mignon. Ma appena impila l' ultima tutte le cadono. Una prova di abilità e d' equilibrismo che ben difficilmente è ottenibile in un treno con il suo continuo rollio (e due volte il federale glielo fa notare, parlando dell'eccitazione che essa provoca nelle donne).
Incongruenza: [N° 36702] Quando il socio di Devereau, ferito alla gamba, chiede aiuto per salire sulla locomotiva, lo stesso Devereau gli pesta i piedi per farlo cadere. Durante questa operazione alle spalle del socio vediamo i binari in doppia e terza fila.
Al cambio di inquadratura il socio cade dal treno e finisce in un torrente, e i due altri binari sono miracolosamente spariti.
Continuità: [N° 36703] Quando la locomotiva senza controllo sfonda la parete della stazione irrompe in un negozio della stessa. Uno alla volta rompe tutti i lampioni del soffito e si vede bene che li ha rotti tutti. Al cambio di inquadratura però li sta ancora rompendo e ne mancano addirittura ancora due o tre da rompere!
Incongruenza: [N° 50613] Quando il federale si arrampica sul tetto del treno per prendere il pezzetto di stoffa della giacca del professore rimasto appeso ad un bullone sporgente, la finestra dello scompartimento di Wilder (e tutto il vagone) è differente da quando lui si era affacciato la mattina subito dopo il delitto.
Continuità: [N° 108753] Quando George e Healy si incontrano nel vagone ristorante, iniziano a parlare con una discreta confidenza, come se si fossero già incontrati precedentemente, e per di più lui le chiede (o lei a lui, non ricordo), se ha fatto riparare il chiavistello della porta fra i loro due scompatimenti.
Tutto ciò fa pensare a una scena tagliata sul loro primo vero incontro
